Retired Iron
Some images just elude explanation … like this one. I can’t tell you just what it’s supposed to ‘say’, but I was fascinated by the story shared by the owner of the shop. The large machine with the belt is some type of planer which evidently ran very slowly and a young boy it was his job to stand watch over it’s progress. It seems to have been idle for some time, but even surrounded by drill bits, a drill press, and various random pieces of steel it still stands tall, watching over the shop. And again, a special thank-you to that shop owner, Lee, for allowing my friend Don and me access to do the shooting. I’ll be posting more over the next few days.
You did a good job on a challenging scene. hats off on that one.
Thanks. I mainly shot it for Lee, but when I began compositing, I really liked where it was going.
