Not really limitations … just the shooting experience itself. I really missed the feel of a real camera and as I’m retired now, that aspect has moved to a higher priority. I shoot every day and it has to remain fun.
Good luck with the closeup filter! You might have to deal with some chromatic aberration, but the view will open a whole new world.
Oh I’m still deciding whether I “need” an interchangeable lens camera. I looked at an Alpha a7 II with a very large lens recently and I just couldn’t see carrying that around. Some of the Fuji mirrorless cameras are more attractive but still pricey.
As a card carrying obsessive perfectionist, I have to accept that every image does not have to be tack sharp at 100%. The ones I shoot at 1.8 or 2.8 usually seem more interesting anyway.
Flowers are a great way to experiment with that. I’m currently photographing the snowdrops at Lancaster Central Park. They’re still small but some were open this morning. Out of 86 I kept one, and its a bit dark. Try, try, again…
Thanks to you I just learned what a closeup filter is. So did you get tired of the limitations of your iPhone?
