The Land of Three Suns
Shooting a parking garage in the business district of Harrisburg, surrounded by high-rise office buildings, I was presented with a phenomenon I’ve never encountered before. The sun is to camera left, creating the strong shadows on the floor. It’s reflecting off a window of an apartment building beyond my shadow (Creating a ‘false’ sun), and at the same time it’s bouncing off of another reflective surface behind me, introducing my shadow. Empty parking garages are fantastic subjects to explore during those moments of first, or last, light.
